Description

The other day I checked up on my new female mouse, Luigi (I was dying to call her that!). I got a huge shock to see she had beautiful pinkies! They are all happy and well and I have read about them.

If you have any tips or see anything worng. Please do tell me, just not assertively

I notice you said you shocked, didn't you know she was pregnant with a litter ??

Mice and rats and very good at looking after their young so there will be very little you need to do except make sure mommy mouse has plenty food and water which i'm sure you are doing already... also best not to clean out the cage until their eyes open at about 12-14 days.. by this time their will be far less chance that the mother will be spooked by new smells and harm her young. I have kept and bred rats for years, mice are very similar as far as the care of their young goes.. i would also recommend trying to find new homes for them so that when they reach 6 weeks old you can seperate the boys from the girls and have places for them to go.
