Excuse me? That last line was not needed. And being a weakling I am I was a bit offended (maybe because I got scared thinking the troll that bullied me came back.) .I admit it was stupid, I was silly doing that out of excitement. Pinkie is fine and it was on there for 1 second before quickly taking it off. Everyone makes silly little mistakes, and I will never do that to pinkie again.
I do admire that you admit it was the wrong thing to do. Yes my line was a little harsh but it just annoys me when people do silly things with their pets, especially ones so young.
I do know that feeling, Im sure I am not that sort of person, it just never crossed my mind. Don't worry, I am just a bit weak, but I am learning to brush them off and think of them as lessons. You seem to know a lot about mice, anymore advice?
Mice, like rats, are great parents to their young and apart from removing from the mother and seperating the males and female at 6 weeks i would say just keep enjoying watching them grow and change... its exciting and very interesting to watch them develop their own little personalities. Make sure mummy has some time now and then to herself.. taking her away from the young for 30 minutes to an hour each day (or every second day) for a bit of peace and quite can be good.. with rats thats a bit easier as the cages are normally bigger and a hammock provides a spot the mother can escape to for some alone time.
With one of our rats, her litter was large - 15 young.. she needed some alone time away from them now and then.. her hammock was her quiet place, well until the young got old enough to climb the cage lol
Lol, my mouse is getting a bit tired out. Every time she goes near them, they latch onto a teat. She just sits there and is patient, but I can tell she is exhausted!
